Zohar Iancu is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Program in Integral Human Development at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP). Her PhD research focused on Israeli migration to the Alentejo region of Portugal, combining ethnography with participatory and visual research methods. In recent years, she has been exploring themes of the emerging Israeli diaspora in Europe, Israeli migration to Portugal, and symbolic boundaries and their influence on cultural, political, mental, and physical realities. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from The Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo and an M.A. in Culture Studies - Performance and Creativity from UCP, graduating with honors. She also holds a diploma in Research and Documentary Screenplay from the Open University of Israel and has completed specialized training in qualitative visual research methods at The Mofet Institute. Her work integrates academic research with creative practice and community engagement to develop innovative methodological approaches.
